About Cake Club

Hi, I'm Jac! Chef, teacher, musician, mom, and the founder of Cake Club NY.

For more than 25 years, I've worked as a professional baker, earned my degree from The Culinary Institute of America, and spent years teaching culinary arts to students of all ages. Along the way, I discovered that my favorite part of baking wasn't creating perfect desserts—it was watching people discover they were capable of making them.

That's how Cake Club was born.

Cake Club is more than baking classes. It's a place where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are part of the process, and confidence grows one recipe at a time. Whether we're decorating galaxy cakes under black lights, baking flaky peach cobbler with local fruit, or learning the science behind the perfect cookie, my goal is always the same: to make baking approachable, creative, and genuinely fun.

I believe food tells stories. Some recipes have been passed down through generations, some celebrate the seasons here in the Hudson Valley, and some are simply too delicious not to share. Every class is an opportunity to learn a new skill, create something from scratch, and leave with both a dessert and a memory.

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me experimenting with seasonal recipes, making music, chasing new creative ideas, or spending time with my son.
