About Cake Club

Hi, I'm Jac.

I'm a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, a professional baker with more than 25 years of experience, a former culinary arts teacher, and a mom. More than anything, though, I'm a creative person who believes food has an incredible way of bringing people together.

After years in professional kitchens and classrooms, I realized my favorite part of baking wasn't creating perfect desserts—it was helping people discover that they could create something beautiful with their own hands. That's the idea that eventually became Cake Club.

Cake Club is more than a baking class. It's a place to slow down, learn a new skill, make a bit of a mess, ask questions, laugh at mistakes, and leave with a little more confidence than you came in with. Whether we're decorating galaxy cakes under black lights, baking with the best fruit of the Hudson Valley season, or learning the science behind the perfect cookie, every class is designed to be approachable, hands-on, and genuinely fun.

I'm endlessly curious and always chasing a new creative idea. Some days that means developing recipes, some days it means reading about the history behind a classic dessert, and some days it means wandering over to the piano or picking up an instrument instead of folding laundry. I don't think creativity belongs in just one box, and Cake Club is where all of those interests finally get to meet.

My hope is that every class feels welcoming, whether it's your first time cracking an egg or your hundredth cake. I want kids to leave feeling capable, adults to leave feeling inspired, and everyone to leave with something delicious to share.
